My Story

Rhys and Will had planned to fly 8760km to Guatemala City in May to volunteer with Street Kids Direct who are doing amazing work to support vulnerable children in Guatemala and Honduras.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 the trip was cancelled and with Guatemala's borders still being closed to travellers, we have decided to attempt to cycle one tenth of the distance (876km) to raise money for Street Kids Direct. James was unable to join us on the orignal planned trip but has now decided to join us in our fundraising attempt.

Anyone who knows us will be very aware that we are not professional cyclists but we're just going to have to push through.

We will set off from Amersham and hopefully arrive at the Lake District within 3/4 days before turning round and heading back to complete the distance. We will keep you updated with regular video updates but you can also track our progress and see how far we've covered each day on this page.

We plan to complete the trip around mid-July but this will be dependant on lockdown measures being eased and campsites being open.

All money raised will be donated to Street Kids Direct who work with children experiencing extreme poverty in Honduras and Guatemala, read more about their amazing work here -https://www.streetkidsdirect.org.uk/
